Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist competing with the Flyweight Division of UFC. She is older than fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko, a Muay Thai boxer started her career in fight sport at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament by unanimously defeating Suzane Miller. Antonina Shevchenko took home another medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, a gold in the year 2011, and won as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia began her professional career at the age of 2003. She was the winner of at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in 2012 and the Lightweight Lion Fight Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final bout took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Shevchenko broke her first professional MMA record in 2002 at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round TKO, and then won two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a hiatus to focus on boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote. She was able to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She left the promotion in the year 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the clinch. After this win, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC in The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight following her first bout by a unanimity. Antonina bounced right back after her loss and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. The fight was awarded Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko went 2-2 in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
